April 2024
Lifetime Occurrence
By the time you’re reading this issue of the newsletter, many of you would have experienced the solar eclipse moment! I didn’t get a chance to go outdoors but I could see the view from my office window. What an incredible experience! Darkness shrouded the skies and the next moment it lightened up again.
The aptness of the timing is indescribable lasting just 4 minutes. Where were you and how did it feel? Make sure you keep a journal of your experience.
Forging Ahead
In the first year of our strategic plan, I am pleased to report that we are making very good progress with the implementation. The tactics identified for these goals have formed the action plan. Some of the tasks include a major overhaul of the association’s website; members of the Communications Committee are working hard at revamping and bringing a fresh look to it.
Another exciting one is the launch of a new role that will assist with as well as provide support for our volunteers. This position will strengthen the association’s operational framework in collaboration with the National Office. Look out for more information about this position in the coming weeks.
Each member has a role to play in the success of the strategic plan, we look forward to receiving your feedback and suggestions.
Enjoy the longer days as we settle into Spring 2024!
